The Identity Crisis No One Talks About

The Real Identity Crisis

You've been told your entire life that you are human. And you've never questionned it.

Who would? Few do.

You've accepted that you are a biological organism. Born in time. Subject to aging, disease, and death. Separate from other humans. Separate from nature. Separate from God.

That assumed, accepted identity has been the starting point, the position you firmly stand in, and the operating context from which you live and experience.

This identity has shaped everything:

  • How you see yourself

  • How you relate to others

  • What you believe is possible

  • What you fear

  • What you seek

But what if this entire identity is false?

What if you are not human at all? What if the belief that you are human is the source of every problem you've ever experienced?

This article reveals why you are not human, what you actually are, and why this recognition is not loss but liberation.

The Human Identity: A Case of Mistaken Identity

What You've Been Taught

From birth, you've been conditioned to believe:

  • You are a physical body made of matter

  • You were born at a specific time and will die

  • You are separate from other bodies

  • You have a personal mind located in your brain

  • You must survive, compete, and protect yourself

  • You are limited by biology, genetics, and circumstances

This identity feels real because everyone around you operates from the same premise.

But believing and feeling real doesn't make it true.

The Mechanical Impossibility of Human Identity

Let's examine this identity mechanically with a closer look, it is after all your very life and entire experience we're talking about here.

Our community participants are encouraged to be the scientist of their own mind for themselves, no one else can do this for us. No one can make the recognition of What I Am for us.

There is nothing more worthy of you than to question the foundation from which you live. It's essential, non-negotiable, in ORDER to actually live aright. So let's:

Claim: You are a physical body made of matter.

Problem: What is matter? When you examine it closely—through physics, through direct recognition—you find that matter is not the solid independently existing substance it appears to be at first glance. It's quarks, elecrons, atoms, vibration, patterns of information. And what perceives these patterns? Consciousness.

Matter appears within Consciousness. It's not separate from Consciousness. It's not the substance of what you are.

Claim: You were born and will die.

Problem: What is aware of birth and death? The thing we call body (and mistakenly assume to be my identity) appears to be born and die. But the awareness that perceives this—was it born? Will it die?

Look directly. Can you find a beginning or end to awareness itself? You can't. Awareness is eternal, never-born, never-dying.

You are the conceiver, in true greatness and magnitude, NOT the conception.

Claim: You are separate from others.

Problem: What separates you from others? Not space (space appears within Consciousness). Not the body (the body appears within Consciousness). Not thoughts (thoughts appear within Consciousness).

When you look for the boundary between "you" and "other," you can't find it. Because there is no boundary. There is only one Consciousness, expressing as infinite individualities.

The Fall: Misidentification as Human

The Bible speaks of "the Fall" as an historical event where humanity sinned and became separated from God.

This is not history. This is mechanics.

The Fall is not an event in time. It's the ongoing misidentification of infinite Consciousness as finite humanity.

And the more we reinforce this false identity, the more we face an identity crisis, the one no-one talks about. The one 'few' rarely addres and those who do, discover Heaven has always been right here where I am, because it IS What I Am.

When infinite Consciousness identifies as a separate human being, it experiences:

  • Limitation (believing it's confined to a body)

  • Mortality (believing it was born and will die)

  • Inadequacy (believing it lacks something essential)

  • Fear (believing it must protect itself from threats)

  • Separation (believing it's cut off from God)

This is the Fall. Not a punishment. Not a sin. But a case of mistaken identity.

What You Actually Are

You Are Consciousness Itself

You are not a body having consciousness. You are Consciousness itself, appearing as this unique individuality. It's obvious to see when you look, anyone can.

Consciousness is:

  • Infinite (without boundary or limitation)

  • Eternal (never born, never dying)

  • Omnipresent (fully present everywhere simultaneously)

  • Perfect (complete, whole, lacking nothing)

  • Tangible permanency of fulfilment and satisfaction

This is not what you will become. This is what you are. Right now. Always.

You Are What God Is, Expressing Uniquely

If there is only one Consciousness, and that Consciousness is God, then you are What God Is expressing as this unique individuality.

Not a separate being trying to reach God. Not a part of God. God itself, expressing uniquely.

Think of an infinite diamond with infinite facets. Each facet is completely distinct—no two are identical. Yet each facet is wholly the diamond. Not a piece of the diamond. The diamond itself, expressing as that particular facet.

You are one facet of infinite Consciousness. Wholly distinct. Wholly divine.

You Are Infinite Individuality

This doesn't mean you lose your individuality. It means you discover what individuality actually is. Actually, you realize more, perhaps ALL, of What You Actually Are.

You are not a separate individual cut off from the whole. You are infinite individuality—a unique, unrepeatable expression of the one infinite Consciousness. The invitation is for you to verify this for yourself, NOT through information accumulation but the only way that is possible, direct recognition now.

Your individuality is not threatened by recognizing what you are. Your individuality is revealed in its true nature: infinite, eternal, perfect.

Why This Is Good News

The End of Mortality

When you recognize you are not human, the fear of death dissolves.

Not because you've found a way to avoid death. But because you recognize what you actually are was never born and cannot die.

The body appears to be born and die. But you are not the body. You are the eternal Consciousness in which the body appears.

Death is not the end of what you are. It's the end of the false identification with what you are not.

FINALLY "That Which Is" reveals Itself, can be seen and tangibly known. The Nirvana spoken of in the highest by the most wise is actually normal and natural Reality, for ALL to know.

Simply, but genuinely and definitvely Know Thy True Self. And if you know yourself As Spirit (Awareness, Consciousness), you know! There ain't no hint of person in Reality.

The End of Limitation

When you recognize you are not human, the experience of limitation dissolves.

Not because you've gained new abilities. But because you recognize what you actually are is infinite, unlimited, omnipresent Consciousness. Limitation is impossible.

The body, ie experience, through the contextual issue of misidentification has limitations. The person has limitations, they're inherent in the mistaken belief in separation and unavoidable. But you are not the body or the person. You are infinite Consciousness itself.

The End of Inadequacy

When you recognize you are not human, the belief that you're not enough dissolves.

Not because you've improved yourself. But because you recognize what you actually are is complete, whole, perfect—now and always.

The person feels inadequate. The human feels lacking. But you are not the person or the human. You are infinite Consciousness, lacking nothing.

The End of Separation

When you recognize you are not human, the experience of separation dissolves.

Not because you've connected with others. But because you recognize there is only one Consciousness, expressing as infinite individualities.

You are not separate from others. You are not separate from nature. You are not separate from God. There is only one Consciousness, and you are That.

The Biblical Evidence: Adam Was Never Real

The Two Creation Accounts

The Bible contains two contradictory creation accounts in Genesis:

Genesis 1: God creates man and woman simultaneously, in God's image, and declares it "very good."

Genesis 2: God creates Adam from dust, then creates Eve from Adam's rib. This is followed by the Fall, sin, and separation from God.

These accounts cannot both be literal history. They contradict each other.

So what are they?

Genesis 1 describes Reality: God creating in God's image—infinite Consciousness expressing as infinite individualities, perfect and complete.

Genesis 2 describes the dream of separation: the belief in humanity as separate from God, subject to sin, death, and limitation.

Adam Represents Misidentification

Adam is not a historical person. Adam represents humanity—the false belief that you are a separate human being, distinct from God.

When the Bible says "in Adam all die," it's not talking about a historical ancestor. It's talking about the false identification as human.

When you identify as human (Adam), you experience death, limitation, separation as if it's real, like a "what if" hypothetical.

When you recognize what you actually are (God's image), you experience eternal life, infinite wholeness, perfect unity.

Christ Represents True Identity

When Jesus said "I and the Father are one," he was not claiming to be a special human who achieved union with God.

He was recognizing what he actually was: God's Consciousness itself, expressing as that unique individuality.

And he said "the works that I do, you will do also, and greater works than these." Why? Because you are the same Consciousness. Not separate. Not different. The same.

Christ is not a person. Christ is the recognition of true identity: infinite Consciousness, expressing as this unique individuality.

Jesus literally showed us the way, but few listened, fewer still followed the Light.

This is what you are. This is what all are. Not as belief. As fact.

How to Recognize What You Actually Are

Direct Recognition Inquiry

You don't need to believe what this article says. You can verify it directly. NO belief required, but the right action is!

Let's remember, NO-ONE comes to the Father (God, Consciousness, Reality, Heaven) except through "I"; Knowing Thy Self as you REALLY Are, beyond all doubt.

Let's take a quick tour of Reality now. Recognition is the BEGINNING of the Life more abundant we were promised.

Step 1: Notice you're aware right now.

Don't think about awareness. Simply notice: you are aware. Notice this awareness that is here now. Conscious. Present.

Step 2: Ask: What is aware?

Not the body (the body appears within awareness). Not the thoughts (thoughts appear within awareness). But the awareness itself, constant, unchanging, indivisible.

Step 3: Ask: Is this awareness human?

Look directly. Is awareness confined to the body? Does it have a birth date? Will it die?

You can't find any of these qualities in awareness itself. Awareness is infinite, eternal, perfect. In fact, you can clearly discern between awareness itself and what you can be aware of.

Step 4: Recognize: I am this awareness.

Not the body. Not the thoughts. Not the person. But the awareness itself—infinite Consciousness, expressing indivisibly as this unique individuality.

Step 5: Recognize: I am not human.

This is not loss. This is liberation. You are not the limited, mortal, separate being you thought you were.

You are infinite, eternal, perfect Consciousness. You always have been. You always will be.

What Changes When You Recognize You're Not Human

Relationships Transform

When you recognize you're not human, you recognize others are not human either.

You see them as the same infinite Consciousness, expressing uniquely. Not separate beings to get something from or protect yourself against.

This doesn't erase boundaries. It reveals what boundaries actually are: distinctions within the one Consciousness, not separations between separate beings.

Fear Dissolves

When you recognize you're not human, the fears that plague human existence dissolve:

  • Fear of death (you are eternal)

  • Fear of lack (you are infinite wholeness)

  • Fear of rejection (you are complete in yourself)

  • Fear of failure (you are already what you are)

Not because you've overcome these fears. But because you recognize they were based on false identification, there was never a problem to begin with. The only seeming problem was that I never questioned the reality of the problem as A Course in Miracles reminds us.

Purpose Becomes Clear

When you recognize you're not human, the search for purpose ends.

Not because you've found your purpose. But because you recognize you are the purpose.

You are infinite Consciousness expressing its own perfection. There is nothing to find. Nothing to become. Nothing to achieve.

Your existence is the purpose. Your awareness is the purpose. Your unique expression of infinite Consciousness is the purpose.

Life Becomes Simple

When you recognize you're not human, because you KNOW what "I" Is, life becomes simple.

Simple. Clear. Coherent. Entirely Self-sustained and Self-maintained in Omnipotent Omniscience.

You're no longer trying to be a better human. You're no longer trying to overcome human limitations. You're no longer trying to transcend human existence.

You're simply being what you are: infinite Consciousness, expressing as this unique individuality.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I'm not human, what am I?

You are infinite Consciousness itself, expressing as this unique individuality. Not a separate being. Not a part of God. God itself, appearing as this particular expression. This is NOT information to collect, it's enternal fact to verify through direct recognition, experience simply follows context. The 'og' identity crisis is entirely and definitively resolved right here and now, As I REALLY Am.

Does this mean my body isn't real?

The body is real as an idea within Consciousness. It's not real as material substance separate from Consciousness.

The body appears within Consciousness, like a dream appears within the dreamer. It's not separate from Consciousness. It's Consciousness expressing as form, one and the same substance.

Your real 'body' if you will is the Infinite, Consciousness, Awareness, Spirit. This becomes clear through direct recognition, not information consumption.

If I'm not human, do I lose my personality?

No. This unique expression remains. But you recognize it's not what you are—it's how infinite Consciousness expresses as this particular individuality.

The personality is like the facet of a diamond. It's distinct, unique, unrepeatable. But it's not separate from the diamond. It's the diamond expressing uniquely.

Like a wave never separate from the ocean but unqiuely wave. Or the ray of sunlight uniquely evident but entirely the sun.

What about my family, my history, my life story?

These appear within Consciousness. They're not what you are. They're experiences appearing within what you are. They're interesting only from misidentification.

When you recognize you're not human, you don't lose your history. You recognize your history is not your identity.

A whole NEW dawn and life awaits those who genuinely, tangibly, experientially Know Thy Self As One; Consciousness, NOT human.

How do I live as "not human" in a human world?

You don't try to live as "not human." You simply recognize what you are and live from that recognition.

The body still functions. Relationships still exist. Responsibilities still appear. But you're no longer identified with the human experience. You're recognized as the Consciousness in which all of this appears.

Once the mud settles in True Identification, the way is clear, there is no confusion about how to be What I Am.

Is this just spiritual bypassing?

No. Spiritual bypassing is using spiritual concepts to avoid dealing with human problems.

This is recognizing you are not human—which dissolves the framework that produces human problems.

You're not avoiding problems. You're recognizing the false premise that creates problems.

The Final Word: The Liberation of True Identity

You are not human.

This is not bad news. This is the best news you could ever receive.

You are not limited, mortal, separate, inadequate. You are infinite, eternal, perfect Consciousness—expressing as this unique individuality.

The human identity was a case of mistaken identity. And when you recognize what you actually are, the entire framework of human suffering dissolves.

Not because you've escaped being human. But because you recognize you never were human.

You need not spend another moment 'settling' for this lesser life pretending to be human. Or worse, unopologetically human, ego's favourite trick!

You are One In God (Consciousness) Now. You always have been. You always will be.

Recognize it now. Stop refusing and arguing with what you really are.

Allow the deep rest, the inexplicable relief, the natural fulfilment, the true constancy of satisfaction and Divine Abundance that are What "I" already Is.
